Eastbourne Skate Lesson - Mastering Turns and Edges - Half Day Intensive review

Another SOLD OUT course for Sk8school, making 2009 the best year the Eastbourne Inline Skate School has ever had in terms of courses and lessons.

Not only do we have more instructors than ever before, but they are all busy! In fact for the first 2 months of the year we had  2 week waiting lists for our Quality Eastbourne Skate Lessons! Which took us some time to clear!

Once people have taken in the basics with our group Sunday morning sessions they are ready for the Mastering courses. The Stopping course in January was sold out, the Turns and Edges in February was sold out and guess what - the Mastering Backwards Skate Lesson in March - is sold out! But don’t worry if you couldn’t get on the courses this time round, we’ll be repeating these courses at our Southwick branch near Brighton in the coming months.

The Flow Grace and Tricks for the end of March is also showing strong booking and is already half full, which given the level of skating involved is very encouraging.

This class  started with elementary turns - the A-frame and the old favourite the Parallel, but then covered 10 more turns and drills to bring the class to Forward Cross-Overs and Slalom Turns.

Everyone managed to cover the skills throughout the afternoon and 3 hours later, the attendees were all trying out the forward cross over with a fair degree of confidence! We look forward to the Mastering Backwards  class in March.

Peacehaven Skate Lessons - with Eastbourne Skate School

Nick Mallinson, one of Sk8schools new instructors runs roller discos for wave leisure at Lewes, Seaford and Peacehaven. Today, Barry Bridger and I caught up with him at his pre-roller disco skate lesson and then joined in the roller disco!

This happens every Friday at 5pm (Skate lessons) with the roller disco being 6pm at Peacehaven.

At the time of writing this course (although all the way out in March) is already over a third full. If you are interested in Artistic Flow, Freestyle Grace and Slalom Tricks - this is the course for you, with 3 of the best instructors at your disposal for 3 hours!
